Come with us now to a farm in the most rural section of Trumbull County, more than 50 miles east of downtown Cleveland.

It sits amid Amish communities and land that has been plowed and tended for generations .. only these 300 acres are dedicated to helping adults with mental illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression and other mental illnesses.

Hopewell opened in 1996, but odds are, you’ve never heard of it. The people who run this therapeutic farm community would like to change that.

They'd also like to change how America treats people with the diagnoses that bring residents to Hopewell.
