Petting Zoo: Flamingos Flock to Port Washington Beach

These flamingos chose an interesting vacation spot: Wisconsin. Five flamingos were spotted at a Port Washington beach last September, bringing dozens of people, some even from out of state, to catch a glimpse! This marked the first sighting of the species in Wisconsin state history,

Wildlife biologists hypothesized that the flamingos were pushed north in late August by the strong winds of Hurricane Idalia, the Journal Sentinel reported.
