Protesters are calling for cities to defund the police. What does that mean? Some hear it as disband the police. For most, it means changing the way we provide safety. On The Sound of Ideas, we'll hear from a Minneapolis City Council Member about a commitment to dismantling policing as we know it. We'll also talk to you, and local experts, about how policing can be reimagined.

- Council Vice President Andrea Jenkins, Minneapolis City Council

-David Lima, Retired Social Worker, Organizer, Showing Up for Racial Justice

-Ayesha Bell Hardaway, Assistant Professor of Law & Director, Social Justice Law Center, Case Western Reserve University

-Stephanie Kent, Ph.D., Professor of Criminology, Cleveland State University

- Ronnie Dunn, Ph.D., Chief Diversity Officer, Assoc. Professor of Urban Studies, Cleveland State University
